Five Prayers | Week 5: The Anxious Prayer | Philippians 4:2–9
For all of us, over the years, there have been a number of anxious moments–from career paths, to marriage and family, to launching the kids into their own lives, and our own health scares. Join us this week as we continue our prayer series as we look at The Anxious Prayer–how we handle the anxiety that comes with life.
Don’t forget our Prayer Seminars coming up on Saturday February 14:
9:30am–10:30am: Prayer Ministry Training Model
11am–12pm: Grieving the Seasons of your Life. An understanding of pain, loss and disappointment.
Led by Rev. Dr. Ron Walborn, Ministry School Director for Church of the City, NYC.
Sign up at the table near The Hub, or contact Kim at FAC, 814-833-9862, kpalmer@facerie.org
Prayer & Vision Night
Date: Wednesday, February 11
Time: 7pm
Place: in the Worship Center
FAC Faithfully Forward: What will FAC look like in 2050? How powerful to consider that we can play a part in shaping the future of our church, our ministries, and our impact for Jesus in the Erie community, right now. Join us and bring your dreams for FAC as we whiteboard our thoughts, find the common themes, and make this a matter of prayer.
Prayer Weekend with Rev. Dr. Ron Walborn
Dates: Saturday, February 14 & Sunday, February 15
Time: 9:30 & 11am both days
Place: in the Worship Center
Make plans to join us as we conclude our prayer series with a special weekend focused on ‘Framing a Good Theology on Prayer and Healing.’
Saturday will include two workshops looking at practical training points in praying with others in their time of need; and looking at how we manage both the pain and the power of healing in prayer.
9:30–10:30am: Training for Prayer Ministry
11am–12pm: Power & Pain in Healing
Signups for each workshop will be available at a table in the lobby on Sunday mornings or by emailing kpalmer@facerie.org or calling the church office at 814-833-9862.
On Sunday morning in both worship services, Ron will conclude our sermon series as we take a look at the Scriptures to guide us in prayer for healing.
30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World
You're invited to join us in praying for Muslims around the world by picking up this 30-day prayer booklet at The Hub. We want to be lifting them up during the month of Ramadan, an Islamic holiday where Muslims fast and pray in hopes of drawing closer to God. Each day is a story of a different people group in need of Jesus, with prayer points to help guide you.
Any questions, please contact Amy McCullough at amccullough@facerie.org.
