facWEEKLY April 24

We hope you've had a good week, FAC Family! Here are just some of the great things happening in the coming weeks.

Check out "What's Happening" for a full list of events taking place this quarter.

Worship This Sunday

In Power | Week 3: Holy Spirit | Acts 2:1-13, 36-41 (NLT)

Join us as we continue our series “In Power.” We’ll investigate how to be alive in power based on the early church as found in the book of Acts.

Join us this Sunday, as we continue our series called “In Power.”  Using the stories of the early church we’re exploring what it looks like to live in the power of the Holy Spirit.  If the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead now lives in us (Romans 8:11), then what does that look like in our life, what does this power do for us, and is it possible that we’re power deficient?

We look forward to seeing you there!

VBS Decorating Volunteers!

Date: Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, starting April 13
Time: 6–9pm
Place: in the Preschool Area

We have a specific need for DECORATING volunteers! This role will be focused on making the church look like a true Jungle Adventure! From painting to box cutting to more creative roles, we need all hands on deck!

If you can donate cardboard, please contact Ally Kalmar (thisishomenumber2@gmail.com), and she will take it.

For questions or more information, please contact Meghan Lawson (mlawson@facerie.org) or Ally Kalmar.

facYOUTH Lead THE Cause | Summer Fundraiser

Date: Sunday, April 12–Sunday, May 31
Place: in the lobby

Our facYOUTH students are returning to Denver, Colorado this July for the Lead THE Cause missions trip, and we’d love for you to be part of what God is doing!

One of the ways you can support students is by giving to our “Envelope Wall” fundraiser. Students have decorated envelopes, each with a number on the front. To participate, simply choose an envelope and place that dollar amount inside (for example, envelope #25 = $25). The fundraiser will run through May 31, and every gift helps send students out to be equipped and to share the Gospel!

You may also notice students serving in different areas around the church during this time. That’s intentional! It’s one way we are encouraging them to say thank you for your generous support and investment in their spiritual growth, and to cultivate a culture of service. When you see students serving, be sure to share an encouraging word with them!

Contact Pastor Mark at mangelotti@facerie.org for more information.

HOPE Volunteer Info Meeting

Have you wondered how to get involved with the HOPE ESL Ministry? Would you like to connect and support our international community but haven't had the time? Summer might be the right time to join!

We have a variety of programs and need a variety of helpers. Yes, we will have some English classes, and we need people who are comfortable teaching and others who would like to help in the classroom. We also have a sewing and driver's ed class, where we need helpers.

If you love people, love Jesus, and speak English, then you can help! Volunteers will help once a week for a 3-hour class, flexible with your summer commitments. Come to our information meeting to learn more!

Contact Amy McCullough with any questions or for more information at amccullough@facerie.org.

Prayer for International Workers Bob & Cheryl Fugate (Mexico)

Bob and Cheryl Fugate are Alliance International Workers supported by FAC, serving in Guadalajara, Mexico. There is a possibility for the Bosques campus to rent a piece of land directly behind the current church building. It is a good size that can hold up to 50 parked cars and might be able to be utilized for youth volleyball or a mini soccer field.

Church attendance is up into the 160s! Pray for faith, clear direction, and finances. You can learn more about Bob and Cheryl by picking up a copy of our “Prayer Guide for World Missions” at the Missions Table near the entrance of the Worship Center. You can partner with Bob and Cheryl in ministry by giving to the Great Commission Fund!

Do You Have a Prayer Request or Praise?

“Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere” (Ephesians 6:18, NLT).
The staff and elders at FAC would love to pray for you. Send your request or praise to Pastor Scott through the form below.
