facWEEKLY May 2
We hope you've had a good week, FAC Family! Here are just some of the great things happening in the coming weeks.
Check out "What's Happening" for a full list of events taking place this quarter.
Worship This Sunday
GRACE UPON GRACE | “Lavished by Grace” | Ephesians 1:3-8
Join us as we continue our series from the book of Ephesians, and discover this week the lavish blessings of God that come to those IN CHRIST, because of God’s grace.
Believer's Baptism
Date: Sunday, May 25
Time: 9:30 & 11am
Place: in the Worship Center
If you've made the decision to follow Christ but have never been baptized, what's holding you back? At FAC, we celebrate these things together as a family, and we're planning a baptism service for Sunday, May 25, during both morning services. Baptism classes are a prerequisite for this, and these two classes will be held during the 1st and 2nd weeks of May.
If you're interested, you can register below, or contact Pastor Scott at sshuffield@facerie.org.
Prayer & Worship Night
Date: Wednesday, May 7
Time: 7pm
Place: in the Worship Center
Join us on Wednesday, May 7, at 7pm, in the worship center as we gather for a time of Prayer & Worship. Our hope is to see this and future gatherings be a time of people seeking God in prayer together, times of celebration, and times of intercession for each other. Let’s see what God will do at FAC as we seek Him first. May all our concerns be met in Jesus as we come to Him in prayer.
We kindly ask that you use the two main entrances of the building as our youth group also meets on Wednesday evenings. For the safety of our students, the office entrance will remain locked.
Communion Update
We are pleased to offer fresh communion elements again, beginning this Sunday, May 4. The crackers are gluten-free, so they are suitable for everyone. Should you choose to continue using the prepackaged elements, some will be available at The Hub.
Singspiration! Greatest Hits! (finale)
Date: Sunday, May 18
Time: 6:30–8pm
Place: in the Youth Center
A celebratory song service for senior adults featuring the singing of hymns and gospel songs. Come and invite a friend to join you. We will finish singing our way through the list of your all time favorites. We will have several guest musicians. Consider bringing a non-perishable food donation for our Food Pantry. (Please check expiration dates before donating).

facYOUTH - LIFE 2025 Fundraiser
This summer, our facYOUTH students are heading to the Alliance Youth LIFE Conference 2025 in Indianapolis, IN—and we couldn’t be more excited! LIFE is an incredible experience filled with powerful worship, dynamic speakers, and life-changing moments. We truly believe this trip will be a crucial part of God’s work in shaping our students’ faith for years to come.
We want to invite you to be part of their journey! Through your prayers and generosity, you can help send our youth to LIFE 2025. There are two ways you can give:
1. Grab an envelope from the Youth display in the church lobby—simply pick an envelope with a number and give that amount.
2. Give online through PushPay by selecting "LIFE Youth Fundraiser" under the giving options or click the button below.
As our students prepare for this conference, we are also encouraging them to serve faithfully within the life of the church. It’s a beautiful picture of how the church invests in the next generation—and how the next generation steps up to serve the church!
Your support not only helps them attend this powerful event—it helps them grow as faithful, active members of our church community.
Thank you for being a church that believes in the next generation. Let’s send them with our prayers, encouragement, and support!
Benevolence Fund
FAC's Benevolence Ministry is designed to help the FAC family, primarily widows, single parent families, the unemployed, and those with financial emergencies and unexpected expenses. This ministry is entirely funded through the generous giving of our church family. If you would like to give, whether regularly, or when the Lord leads, you can mark your giving envelopes or click on “Benevolence Fund” on the drop-down box through FAC's online giving. If you are experiencing a need, you may contact Jim Kubaney (814-323-6825) or Pastor Scott Shuffield (sshuffield@facerie.org).
Prayer for International Workers, David & Evangeline Kindervatter in Japan
David and Evangeline Kindervater are international workers supported by FAC, serving in Tokyo, Japan. Please pray for wisdom as we share Jesus with people in our large apartment building. Pray that we would do well at sharing the love and message of Jesus and that God would open their hearts to see that Jesus is not "scary" and we are not "dangerous."
You can learn more about David and Evangeline by picking up a copy of our “Prayer Guide for World Missions” at the Missions Table, near the entrance of the Worship Center. You can partner with David and Evangeline in ministry by giving to the Great Commission Fund.
Do You Have a Prayer Request or Praise?
"Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere" (Ephesians 6:18, NLT).
The staff and elders at FAC would love to pray for you. Send your request or praise to Pastor Scott through the form below.
