New Summer Series

Jesus Encounters | Week 1: It Begins Here | John 1:29–39

Join us this Sunday as we start our new series called Jesus Encounters. It would be easy to go this whole summer and talk about historical stories from the Bible about Jesus without ever considering our own personal encounter with him. We believe that something happens in us when we encounter Jesus. So, we’re simply exploring this question: what might Jesus want for us if we had an authentic and honest encounter with Him this summer?

In the Gospel of John, we begin with one of the clearest and most powerful descriptions of Jesus. In John 1:29–39, John the Baptist points to Jesus and says, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” Before we look at how people encounter Jesus, we must first see who Jesus is. His heart, His mission, and His purpose are revealed from the very beginning: Jesus is the Lamb of God, the Son of God, and the One who comes to save. Simply put, Jesus encounters BEGIN with HIM. So, join us this Sunday and see how meeting Jesus CHANGES everything.
