Pure Desire: 7 Pillars of Freedom
Date: Mondays, September 8–May 18
Time: 7–9pm
Place: in room F201
Cost: $80 (includes Seven Pillars Workbook, Journal, and the Pure Desire book)
Many men who struggle with sexual brokenness try to go it alone. They believe the lie that sexual brokenness is about sex; when really, it’s about medicating the pain in their lives. Despite their losses—marriage, ministry, relationships, and more—they continue to return to unwanted sexual behaviors. But the truth is, we cannot fix a problem if we don’t know what’s causing it. Through the Seven Pillars of Freedom you’ll start to understand your whole story and identify what contributes to your sexual brokenness. You will begin your recovery from unwanted sexual behavior with a trusted group of men on the same journey. Through Seven Pillar’s guided lessons and a trusted community, you will develop the tools necessary to break free, heal your relationship, and take back your life.
Registration is $80 and includes the Seven Pillars Workbook, Journal, and the Pure Desire book. If you have any questions, or want to learn more, reach out to Chenny Langness at cnlangness@gmail.com.
Pure Desire: Compassionate Warrior
Date: Mondays, September 8–May 18
Time: 7–9pm
Place: in room F201
Cost: $60 (includes the Compassionate Workbook and Journal)
The Compassionate Warrior is a follow-up to 7 Pillars, designed for men who have made significant progress on the road to freedom from sexual addiction. You may have completed the initial work, but still find relapse sneaking up on you from time to time. You are reaching year 4, 5, or 6 of sobriety and find that you are still fighting daily for survival. The Compassionate Warrior will take you deeper, and help you find the areas of your life where the enemy has laid emotional explosives. Finally, this course will help you identify the most profound areas of giftedness in your life so that you can be a warrior for others, not just yourself.
Registration is $60 and includes the Compassionate Workbook and Journal. If you have any questions, or want to learn more, reach out to Chenny Langness at cnlangness@gmail.com
Pew Ministry Volunteers Needed
Are you looking for a way to serve at FAC? Do you have an hour to spare during church office hours every 4-6 weeks? If so, this could be the perfect fit for you! The First Impressions pew ministry is seeking volunteers to help us keep the worship center pew racks neat and organized from one Sunday to the next. This involves replenishing pens, welcome cards, and Bibles, as well as removing any items left behind. It's a great opportunity for those who are retired, work part-time, or have some extra time on their hands during the day. Volunteers serve on a rotating basis, approximately once every 4-6 weeks or more often if they choose. *Volunteers should be physically able to walk up and down the stairs in the worship center.
If you are interested in volunteering or learning more, contact Kim Palmer in the church office at kpalmer@facerie.org or 814-833-9862.

Ladies, you’re invited!
Join us Tuesday mornings for Women 2 Women as we dive into the book of Acts with Nancy Guthrie’s powerful study, “Saved: Experiencing the Promise of the Book of Acts.”
Starting September 9, we’ll spend 17 weeks walking through the lives of the apostles after Jesus’ resurrection–discovering fresh faith, the power of the Holy Spirit, and a deeper love for God’s Word. This is more than a Bible study–it’s a chance to grow in faith, build lasting friendships, and experience God’s promises together.
Come grow, connect, and be encouraged–we can’t wait to journey with you!
Register online or at the table in the lobby. Contact Elaine Ransil at ekransil@gmail.com for more information.

Prayer for International Workers Bob & Cheryl Fugate, Mexico
Bob and Cheryl are international workers supported by FAC, serving in Guadalajara, Mexico. Pray for the church and leaders as they make repairs in response to the flash flood that tore through the church property last week. Pray for the marriage dinner to be rescheduled.
You can learn more about Bob and Cheryl by picking up a copy of our “Prayer Guide for World Missions” at the Missions Table, near the entrance of the Worship Center and you can partner with Bob and Cheryl in ministry by giving to the Great Commission Fund.
Benevolence Fund
FAC's Benevolence Ministry is designed to help the FAC family, primarily widows, single parent families, the unemployed, and those with financial emergencies and unexpected expenses. This ministry is entirely funded through the generous giving of our church family. If you would like to give, whether regularly, or when the Lord leads, you can mark your giving envelopes or click on “Benevolence Fund” on the drop-down box through FAC's online giving. If you are experiencing a need, you may contact Jim Kubaney (814-323-6825) or Pastor Scott Shuffield (sshuffield@facerie.org).
Do You Have a Prayer Request or Praise?
"Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere" (Ephesians 6:18, NLT).
The staff and elders at FAC would love to pray for you. Send your request or praise to Pastor Scott through the form below.
