facWEEKLY November 14
We hope you've had a good week, FAC Family! Here are just some of the great things happening in the coming weeks.
Check out "What's Happening" for a full list of events taking place this quarter.
Worship This Sunday
Titus: Faith for Generations | Titus 3
Join us this Sunday as we wrap up our series in Titus! We’ll explore Titus 3—a passage that invites us to remember where we came from, rejoice in God’s saving kindness, and live out a faith that blesses the generations after us. It’s a warm call into humility, unity, and everyday discipleship that ensures the gospel doesn’t stop with us.
Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes Due
This Sunday (Nov 16) is the final day you can return a packed Shoebox. This is a great way to send the gospel to millions of unreached kids and families around the world. Please include a check payable to Samaritan's Purse for $10 per box to help defray the shipping and expenses to deliver these boxes.
Please pray as volunteers will begin the following week to load the boxes onto trucks to be sent to national distribution centers to be further processed. Volunteers are still needed during National Collection Week, and you can sign up to help at the table in the lobby.
If you were unable to shop and want to participate, we have a link where you can choose a boy or girl and the age range, and it will walk you through a few choices of what items to include. Most of the work is done for you. It's called “Build a Shoebox Online”. This link will be available through December 31. It’s fun, and you can include your family in the choices. It's a great 5–10 minute activity on Christmas Day to talk about the real purpose of Christmas with your family.
Thank you for your generosity throughout the year, as we are blessed to partner with Samaritan's Purse.
Winter Clothing Collection
In connection with our Sunday Suppers ministry, we are collecting new or gently used winter jackets, hats, boots, and gloves to be given to people facing hardship. The collection will take place in the lobby of the church this Sunday, November 16th. Thank you for being Jesus to our community.

Short-term mission trip to the Dominican Republic
Dates: January 24–31, 2026
Cost: $1,390 (Scholarships are available)
This is a good entry point for almost anyone to be involved in a short-term mission trip. The goal is to impact the lives of those participating in a trip for God's kingdom and to leave a godly footprint with the Dominican Republic. There are many ways to be involved, including: construction, prayer and evangelism, children's ministry, and dental and optical ministry. The cost is $1,390, which includes air transportation, in-country transportation, all in-country meals, housing, a clean and safe environment, and all the resources and materials needed for your ministry tasks.
To register, click the button below and select the trip January 24–31, 2026. For more information, contact Pastor Scott at sshuffield@facerie.org.
Collecting Glasses and Hearing Aids for the Dominican Republic
Once again, we are collecting eyeglasses and hearing aids to take to the Dominican Republic as part of our ministry with Meeting God in Missions. We are now asking for glasses (prescription or reading glasses) and hearing aids (in any condition) to be donated. Both of these items can be placed in collection boxes found at The Hub.
Chris & Liz, International Workers in N. Africa
Chris and Liz are international workers supported by FAC. They serve in N. Africa. Pray that there would be progress made toward a functioning fellowship in our city. We're trying to gather a men's group - pray that it will start soon.
You can learn more about Chris and Liz by picking up a copy of our “Prayer Guide for World Missions” at the Missions Table, near the entrance of the Worship Center and you can partner with Chris and Liz in ministry by giving to the FAC Missions Fund.
Do You Have a Prayer Request or Praise?
"Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere" (Ephesians 6:18, NLT).
The staff and elders at FAC would love to pray for you. Send your request or praise to Pastor Scott through the form below.
