FAC’s Summer Prayer Initiative is a 10-week opportunity for our church family to continue the emphasis on prayer that God has been cultivating in our congregation over the past several months. From June 21 through August 29, we invite you to deepen your personal prayer life, pray alongside others, and seek God together through several different opportunities designed to fit a variety of schedules and commitments.

Whether you’re able to participate in a single event or want to fully immerse yourself in all that God has for you this summer, there are multiple ways to get involved.

Wednesday Night Prayer Walks

Wednesdays | 6:30–7:30pm
Beginning June 24

Join us as we walk the FAC property, the surrounding neighborhoods, and the Old Zuck Road area while praying for our church, our community, and the people God has called us to reach. It’s a meaningful way to combine physical activity with intentional prayer.

→ Just show up and pray with us.

Home Prayer Nights

June 21–August 29
Hosted throughout the summer

Gather with others for prayer in a home setting. Participants are encouraged to attend or host at least four prayer gatherings during the summer (or more if you’d like). Meeting days and times will be determined by each group.

Whether you'd like to open your home or join a group, we'd love for you to participate. Fill out the form below to get connected!

Summer Prayer Intensive

June 21–August 23
10-Week Program

Looking for a deeper prayer journey? The Summer Prayer Intensive is designed to help you develop consistent prayer habits through daily prayer practices, participation in Wednesday Prayer Walks, and a guided book study on prayer. Throughout the summer, you’ll receive coaching and encouragement as you grow in your relationship with God through prayer.

Email Pastor Ben (bdistefano@facerie.org) with “Summer Prayer Intensive” to join the Facebook group.

Other Ways to Get Involved through Prayer

In April 2024, we relaunched our Pastors’ Prayer Partners who meet during our worship services to pray for the congregation, the leaders, and the move of the Holy Spirit in our church.

The commitment is one service, once a month. This ministry has been one of the key factors in the growth of our church, and we would love to continue its growth.

If you want to be a part of this team, email Pastor Ben (bdistefano@facerie.org),

In January 2026, we installed a new altar, in the form of kneeling rails, as tangible place of prayer where people can seek God and drive home their commitments to Him.

At the same time, we also invited people to be a part of our Sunday Service Prayer Team—to be available to pray for those who have a need. Whether it’s at the altar, in the seats, or in the hallways, we want to be available to pray for people. Our prayer team have nifty blue lanyards (similar to the image above) so it’s easy to identify someone willing to pray with you.

In Fall 2024, we launched our Encounter: Prayer and Worship Nights. These nights are set aside for exactly that—a focused and unhurried time to seek the Lord and intercede on behalf of one another, our church, our ministries, and our community. FAC is committed to being a praying church, one that depends on God and listens for His leading as we gather in His presence.

These nights are an invitation to lift our eyes to Jesus, unite our hearts in corporate prayer and worship, and encounter God together in a meaningful and expectant way. We believe He uses moments like these to strengthen our faith, draw us closer to one another and to Him, and form us more fully into the people He is calling us to be.

In 2026, January, February, and April saw over 100 people at those nights! We’ve paused these nights for July and August, but be looking forward to them in the fall.
