facWEEKLY August 1

We hope you've had a good week, FAC Family! Here are just some of the great things happening in the coming weeks.

Check out "What's Happening" for a full list of events taking place this quarter.

Worship This Sunday

July has been a full month of ministry—but more importantly, it’s been a month where we’ve seen God move in powerful ways! This Sunday, you’ll get to hear from some of our students and Pastor Chen as they share their experiences from the LIFE Conference and how God met them there. We hope you’ll join us—it’s going to be a meaningful morning!

Family Beach Day 2025

Date: Sunday, August 17
Time: 5pm
Place: at Presque Isle's Beach 11 pavilion

FAC family, we hope you're planning to join us on Sunday, August 17, at 5pm, for Family Beach Day at Presque Isle's Beach 11!

Our evening will begin at the pavilion with a time of worship, followed by powerful testimonies from those being baptized. From there we will walk to the beach for baptisms, so be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket with you. We will then head back to the pavilion for a time of fellowship, activities, light refreshments (provided by FAC) and a short devotional.

If you are interested in being baptized, please email info@facerie.org AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. The deadline to register is August 3, but the sooner we hear from you, the better.

We have the Beach 11 pavilion reserved for the entire day, so feel free to take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy a picnic with your family after church or before we begin our time together that evening.

We look forward to celebrating summer with you!

The nations are here, and English ministry is a practical way we can love our neighbors and share the HOPE that we have. This 2-day training will equip you with the skills to create lesson plans, teach both beginner and advanced students, and share your faith in practical ways. Registration is required.

Thank you for participating in Soles for Jesus!

We asked our church family to donate new shoes and socks for kids in the Dominican Republic, and you were amazing! 150 pairs of shoes and 380 pairs of socks were donated in just three weeks! That's enough to fill two shipping barrels that will be sent in September. Thank you from all the kids who will receive these shoes and socks.

Prayer for International Worker Holly Woodworth, working with Envision Miami

Holly Woodworth is working in Miami with the Christian & Missionary Alliance. Pray for her college-age son, Caleb. He will be having a delicate retina surgery on August 7th. The anticipated recovery is six weeks. He is scheduled to return to college on August 24th.

You can learn more about Holly by picking up a copy of our “Prayer Guide for World Missions” at the Missions Table, near the entrance of the Worship Center. You can partner with Holly in ministry by giving to the Great Commission Fund.

Benevolence Fund

FAC's Benevolence Ministry is designed to help the FAC family, primarily widows, single parent families, the unemployed, and those with financial emergencies and unexpected expenses. This ministry is entirely funded through the generous giving of our church family. If you would like to give, whether regularly, or when the Lord leads, you can mark your giving envelopes or click on “Benevolence Fund” on the drop-down box through FAC's online giving. If you are experiencing a need, you may contact Jim Kubaney (814-323-6825) or Pastor Scott Shuffield (sshuffield@facerie.org).

Do You Have a Prayer Request or Praise?

"Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere" (Ephesians 6:18, NLT).
The staff and elders at FAC would love to pray for you. Send your request or praise to Pastor Scott through the form below.
