Worship This Sunday
The Strength of Weakness | 2 Corinthians 12:7-10
The apostle Paul made a paradoxical statement in 2 Corinthians 12:10 that seems to contradict our experience in life: When I am weak, then I am strong. Isn’t it usually one or the other? What did he mean? And why did he say he would boast about the things that showed his weakness?
Family Beach Day 2025
Date: Sunday, August 17
Time: 5pm
Place: at Presque Isle's Beach 11 pavilion
FAC family, we hope you're planning to join us on Sunday, August 17, at 5pm, for Family Beach Day at Presque Isle's Beach 11!
As was announced last Sunday, due to high bacteria levels in the water at Beach 11, we will be celebrating baptisms at FAC during both morning worship services.
We are still planning to enjoy our evening together at the Beach 11 pavilion with a time of worship, testimonies, fellowship, and some light refreshments. You will also have the opportunity to meet and talk to those who were baptized earlier that morning.
We have the Beach 11 pavilion reserved for the entire day, so feel free to take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy a picnic with your family after church, or bring a picnic dinner with you that evening, if you wish. Bring a lawn chair too.
We look forward to celebrating summer with you!
GriefShare – Loss of a Spouse Seminar

Grieving the death of your spouse? You have come to the right place...welcome to GriefShare's Loss of a Spouse seminar. Your life has changed forever. The daily emotions and challenges can seem too hard to bear. God has a plan for your journey of grief, and we have loving and caring people to help you during this time.

ESL Teacher Training
Dates & Times: Friday August 22 @ 6–9:30pm; Saturday, August 23 @ 8:45am–5:30pm
Place: in room B106
Cost: $60 or $20 for Alumni
HOPE Ministry has their annual ESL Teacher Training for new and seasoned volunteers. If you love Jesus, love people, and speak English, then you can teach English and be the hands and feet of Jesus in this exciting ministry! The nations are here, and English ministry is a practical way we can love our neighbors and share the HOPE that we have. This 2-day training will equip you with the skills to create lesson plans, teach both beginner and advanced students, and share your faith in practical ways. Registration is required.

Fantasy Football
Date: Sunday, August 24
Time: 6–8pm
Place: in the Youth Center
Cost: $10.00 (payable at the door)
It's that time again! Time for some fantasy football! This league is open to ALL: men, women, young adults, and youth of all ages.
Join us for a LIVE draft party, including food and drinks, on Sunday, August 24 from 6–8pm in the Youth Center. A $10 entry fee (payable at the door) and a valid email address are required.

Prayer for International Workers Chris & Liz in N. Africa
Chris and Liz are international workers supported by FAC. They serve in N. Africa. Please pray for two Chay guys in our city: Justice and Andrew. Both are now professing trust in Jesus! Pray that they would show the fruit of trust, and that they could get into the Word with Owen, our brother employee. Ask that they could understand the good news more and more and would grow as Jesus' followers.
You can learn more about Chris and Liz by picking up a copy of our “Prayer Guide for World Missions” at the Missions Table, near the entrance of the Worship Center and you can partner with Chris and Liz in ministry by giving to the FAC Missions Fund.
