Worship This Sunday
The Parables of Jesus | What the Fig Tree Tells us About the 2nd Coming | Matthew 24:32-35
The hope of every Christian is the 2nd Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. We long for the day when we shall be absent from the body and present with the Lord. As Christ-followers, we long for the day when Jesus comes because it is on that day that Satan will be defeated, the curse will be lifted, the saints will be glorified, Jesus will be worshiped, creation will be liberated, and sin and death will be eliminated!
Family Beach Day 2025
Date: Sunday, August 17
Time: 5pm
Place: at Presque Isle's Beach 11 pavilion
FAC family, we hope you're planning to join us THIS Sunday, August 17, at 5pm, for Family Beach Day at Presque Isle's Beach 11 pavilion!
As was recently announced, due to high bacteria levels in the water at Beach 11, we will be celebrating baptisms at FAC during both morning worship services.
We are still planning to enjoy our evening together at the Beach 11 pavilion with a time of worship, testimonies, fellowship, and some light refreshments. You will also have the opportunity to meet and talk to those who were baptized earlier that morning.
We have the Beach 11 pavilion reserved for the entire day, so feel free to take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy a picnic with your family after church, or bring a picnic dinner with you that evening, if you wish. Bring a lawn chair too.
We look forward to celebrating summer with you!
GriefShare – Loss of a Spouse Seminar

Grieving the death of your spouse? You have come to the right place...welcome to GriefShare's Loss of a Spouse seminar. Your life has changed forever. The daily emotions and challenges can seem too hard to bear. God has a plan for your journey of grief, and we have loving and caring people to help you during this time.

ESL Teacher Training
Dates & Times: Friday, August 22 @ 6–9:30pm; Saturday, August 23 @ 8:45am–5:30pm
Place: in room B106
Cost: $60 or $20 for Alumni
HOPE Ministry has their annual ESL Teacher Training for new and seasoned volunteers. If you love Jesus, love people, and speak English, then you can teach English and be the hands and feet of Jesus in this exciting ministry! The nations are here, and English ministry is a practical way we can love our neighbors and share the HOPE that we have. This 2-day training will equip you with the skills to create lesson plans, teach both beginner and advanced students, and share your faith in practical ways. Registration is required.

Did You Know?
The number one need for the U.S. immigrant and refugee population is to learn English in order to survive in America. A close second is a friend to walk alongside them as they learn. When both things happen, not only do immigrants and refugees gain a valuable skill, they have an opportunity to find Christ and experience healing. HOPE Ministry does just that. Whether you’re new to the ministry or returning to serve another year, join us on Tuesday night, August 26, in room F200 at 6:30pm to learn more and find out how you can get plugged in. You don't need to have experience, God just wants your availability. So if you love Jesus, love people and speak English - then you can offer HOPE to refugees in Erie!

Fantasy Football

It's that time again! Time for some fantasy football! This league is open to ALL: men, women, young adults, and youth of all ages.
Join us for a LIVE draft party, including food and drinks, on Sunday, August 24 from 6–8pm in the Youth Center. A $10 entry fee (payable at the door) and a valid email address are required.

Prayer & Worship Night

Prayer & Worship Nights are back! After taking a break for the summer, we are looking forward to spending time together with you again mid-week, as we share in a meaningful time of corporate prayer, scripture reading, and praise and worship. We invite you to join us on the first Wednesday of each month at 7pm, beginning September 3, in the worship center.
Please use the main entrances on the lower level; the office entrance will remain locked.
DivorceCare
Date: Thursdays, beginning, September 4
Time: 6:30–8pm
Place: in the Fireside Room
Cost: $20.00 (Includes workbook)
First Alliance Church will again be sponsoring DivorceCare, which is a special weekly seminar and support group designed to help people rebuild their life when going through separation or divorce. Over 13 weeks, participants will view videos from respected counselors, pastors, and healthcare providers. Each weekly session is self-contained so people can enter during any week. Whether you are in the early stages of separation or divorce, or struggling with the painful aftermath, you will be around people who understand what you are feeling.

The Titus Ten - Foundations for Godly Manhood
Men, it's time to get back in the swing of things! Join us at Patriot Valley Ranch for our fall Bible Study in the book of Titus. This study will help you become the kind of man God intends for you to be and lead other men to do the same. Breakfast is included EVERY week! Don't miss this opportunity!

Prayer for Remember Nhu Ministry
Remember Nhu is a ministry committed to ending child sex slavery through prevention, which is the most effective way to keep children safe and end this evil practice. Individuals and families at FAC sponsor girls and boys in Kenya, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, and Tanzania.
