Worship This Sunday
DANIEL: Stand Firm | Week 3: Kings & Kingdoms | Daniel 2
Have you ever had a recurring dream that makes you wonder, “What was that all about?” Sometimes God gets our attention through dreams.
Join us on Sunday as we continue our series in the book of Daniel as we discover how to stand firm in our faith, given the world we live in.
Report of the 2026 Nominating Committee
In anticipation of our upcoming Annual Meeting on Sunday, October 25, 2026, during both worship services at 9:30am and 11:00am, the Report of the 2026 Nominating Committee has been posted for official members to review.
This report contains the proposed ballot of nominees for the positions of church elders, church officers, and next year’s Nominating Committee. The report can be found on the bulletin board in the church lobby.
Ballots will be available for official members to pick up beginning Sunday, October 11.
Intro to FAC & Membership Classes
NEW START DATE: SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4

Are you new or newer to First Alliance Church and want to learn more about us? Or maybe you’ve been attending for a long time and have decided you’d like to become a member? It doesn’t matter which category you fall into—this class is for you!
Intro to FAC is a five-week course on all things FAC. Learn about who we are, what we believe, how to get involved, and the importance of becoming a member of the local church. This is a great opportunity to meet others in the church and build meaningful relationships!
The Intro to FAC course is the first step toward pursuing membership, but it does not obligate you to continue the process.

Men’s Breakfast
Date: Saturday, October 3
Time: 9–10:30am
Place: in the Youth Center
Men and boys of all ages are invited to join us for a delicious breakfast and meaningful fellowship with others from FAC and the community. It’s a great opportunity to connect, build friendships, and enjoy some time together. Invite a friend to join you!
Space is limited, and the deadline to register is September 27. Register online using the link below. There is no cost to attend, but donations will be accepted.
FAC Women Evening Bible Study
Date: Mondays, beginning October 5
Time: 6–8pm
Place: in room E215 (Fireside Room)
Cost: $10 for book
Ladies, you’re invited to join us for a meaningful six-week Bible study on Monday evenings!
This fall, we’ll study Jesus: The God Who Knows Your Name by Max Lucado. Together, we’ll grow in faith, make new connections, share some laughs, and get to know Jesus on a deeper level.
Whether you’ve been studying the Bible for years or you’re brand new, we’d love to have you!
We’ll meet for six weeks of Bible study, followed by a Friendsgiving celebration during our last gathering on November 16! Grab a friend and join us!

Encounter: Prayer & Worship Night
Date: Wednesday, October 7
Time: 7pm
Place: in the Worship Center
Encounter is a night set aside to slow down, seek the Lord, and pray together. These nights invite us to lift our eyes to Jesus, unite our hearts in prayer & worship, and encounter God together in a meaningful and expectant way. We gather to pray for one another, our church, our ministries, and our community while listening for God’s leading.
We believe that God shows up in powerful ways where He’s wanted—and we want God present and moving at FAC. Don’t miss this opportunity as we seek God in prayer & worship.
FAC Kids Praise & Prayer Nights
Date: Wednesday, October 7
Time: 7pm
Place: in the Worship Center
Once a month, we’re getting our praise on and putting our prayer into action! 🙌
On the first Wednesday of each month from 7–8pm, September through May, join us for FAC Kids Praise & Prayer Nights. These nights happen alongside our churchwide Encounter: Prayer and Worship Nights, so the whole church gets to worship and pray together!
Kids will start the evening worshiping with their families in the main sanctuary. Then, it’s time to split into small groups with our FAC Kids leaders and get hands-on! Through fun activity stations, kids will learn what it means to praise God and pray to Him in ways they can understand—and actually practice.
Come ready to sing, pray, learn, and have some fun! 🎉
All Church Missions Dinner
Date: Saturday, October 10
Time: 5:45–8:30pm
Place: in the Youth Center
Cost: $5 per person
Missions Week at FAC is Sunday, October 4 through Saturday, October 10, and this year we’ll be focusing on and celebrating God’s work in Spain through missions.
As part of Missions Week, join us for a special dinner with FAC missionaries Jim & LuAnn Eaton, who serve in Spain. Enjoy a themed dinner, fellowship, and an opportunity to hear more about what God is doing through their ministry.
Advance registration is required so we can plan accordingly. Sign up online or at the table in the church lobby. If you have questions, ask a volunteer at the Missions Table or contact Pastor Scott.
Erie Deaf Community Church Service & Bible Study
Did you know that the Erie Deaf Community Church holds a weekly church service and Bible study right here at FAC? If you or a family member would benefit from connecting with this community of believers, you’re invited to join them for either gathering—or both!
Church Service: Sundays at 3:30pm in Room E215 (Fireside Room)
Bible Study: Thursdays at 6:00pm in Room B106 (Music Room)

FAC Youth Fall Getaway
Dates and Times: October 9–11
Place: Laurelville Retreat Center (transportation provided by FAC Youth)
Cost: $99
Fall Getaway will be here before you know it … so don’t miss out! This weekend is centered on our BELONG core value because FAC Youth believes every student needs a place where they are known, welcomed, and encouraged to grow in their relationship with Jesus. We will have all kinds of games, team challenges, worship, engaging sessions, and plenty of time to build lasting friendships.
We’re also making some exciting changes for 2026! This year, we’re heading to Laurelville Retreat Center, just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Even better––we’re extending the retreat to last two nights, giving students even more time to connect, have fun, and experience all that God has in store. Including the extra night, the cost is just $99. Payment options will be made available as needed (the cost includes lodging, meals, transportation, activities, and a t-shirt!). We’re also thrilled to welcome a very special guest speaker … so stay tuned for that announcement!
Whether you’re a returning student or thinking about coming for the first time, Fall Getaway is the perfect opportunity to step away from the busyness of life, deepen your faith, and discover what it truly means to BELONG.

Food Pantry
Are you or someone you know in need of food? Did you know that FAC has a Food Pantry that serves families in our church and in our community experiencing financial hardships? Our Food Pantry is open once per week on alternating Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. To learn if you qualify or to get a copy of our schedule, please speak with Ron Bauerle or Terry Kalgren or call the church office.
You can help by donating non-perishable food items in the collection bins located throughout the church.
Prayer for International Workers David and Brenda Aderholdt (Macedonia)
David and Brenda Aderholdt are international workers supported by FAC. They serve the Macedonian community. David’s father recently passed away. He was a strong believer. Pray for David and Brenda as they grieve this earthly loss.
You can learn more about David and Brenda by picking up a copy of our “Prayer Guide for World Missions” at the Missions Table near the entrance of the Worship Center. You can partner with David and Brenda in ministry by giving to the FAC Missions Fund.
