Worship This Sunday
GRACE UPON GRACE: Ephesians | Living in the Light | Ephesians 5:1–16
What does it mean to be forever changed in Christ? In Ephesians 5:1–16, Paul reminds us that the Christian life is not about surface change but about living as God’s beloved children—pursuing holiness, pursuing purity, and pursuing transformation as children of light. This passage calls us to wake up, shine with Christ’s love, and live with urgency in a dark world.
Join us this Sunday as we continue our series, Grace Upon Grace.
Way to Go, Team…
I am so thankful for the ministry work, skill, passion, and service of our staff. I am so proud of our team being invited to serve beyond the walls of FAC. This summer Pastor Scott led two weeks of teaching at the Exceptional Adults Camp at Edinboro Camp. Amy McCullough, FAC ESL Administrator, served with the Alliance National Office ESL ministry by leading an ESL training event this summer in Arizona and frequently leads trainings throughout the year at other Alliance churches. FAC Young Adults Director Meghan Lawson served on the executive planning team and presented a keynote address at the regional Alliance Young Adults (AYA) event held at Princeton Alliance Church. Pastor Chen led a breakout session, and Pastor Zay was invited to serve in the worship time at the same AYA event. Pastor Zay also will be playing in the worship team for the annual WPA District Conference in October. Take a moment and congratulate our team on their work and recognition for their leadership. Way to go, team! —Pastor Ben
2025 Annual Congregational Meeting & Worship Service
You are invited to join us on Sunday, October 26, for one combined worship service at 10am as we celebrate God’s faithfulness and what He has done and continues to do here at FAC! We have the privilege of hearing from District Superintendent, Rev. David Nagel, of the Western PA District of the Christian & Missionary Alliance that morning. A cake and punch reception will follow in the gym at the conclusion of the service.
Official FAC members will have the privilege of voting for elders and church officers and are invited to stop by the table in the lobby beginning Sunday, October 12, to cast their ballot. An early ballot will be treated as an absentee ballot, which must be received no later than the close of business on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. Members who have not already voted may pick up their ballot at the designated table in the lobby on the day of the Annual Meeting. Absentee ballots arriving late will not be counted.
*Please note that no groups, classes, or other ministries will meet this morning. Children of all ages are always welcome into the worship service. We also have a Family Room available, where the service is live streamed, for any families who may feel more comfortable worshiping with their young children in that environment.
Prayer & Worship Night
Date: Wednesday, October 1
Time: 7pm
Place: in the Worship Center
Join us on Wednesday, October 1, at 7pm, in the worship center as we gather for a time of Prayer & Worship. Our hope is to see this and future gatherings be a time of people seeking God in prayer together, times of celebration, and times of intercession for each other. Let’s see what God will do at FAC as we seek Him first. May all our concerns be met in Jesus as we come to Him in prayer.
We kindly ask that you use the two main entrances of the building as our youth group also meets on Wednesday evenings. For the safety of our students, the office entrance will remain locked.
facWOMEN’s Evening Bible Study
Date: Mondays, beginning October 6
Time: 6–8pm
Place: in room E215 (Fireside Room)
Cost: $15 for book
Ladies, you’re invited to join us for a meaningful six-week Bible study on Monday evenings! Together, we’ll dive into the book of Habakkuk through a study by Dannah Gresh.
Habakkuk was no stranger to fear, doubt, and life’s storms—yet his story now shines as an example of living faithfully when God feels silent. This study will help us see how remembering God’s faithfulness in the past gives us strength and hope for today.
Let’s come together as women of faith—encouraging, uplifting, and uniting in Christ—as we grow deeper in God’s Word and stronger in our walk with Him.

Place: in the Youth Center
Cost: $5 per person
Come for a fun evening of food, fellowship, and entertainment. Pizza and beverages will be served for dinner followed by a movie. And of course, there will be popcorn!
We will be watching "The Unbreakable Boy." The movie is inspired by the true story of when Scott and Teresa learn that their son, Austin, is autistic and has brittle bone disease. They initially worry about his future. However, with Scott's growing faith and Austin's incredible spirit, they become unbreakable as they find joy, gratitude and courage in the most trying times.
