facWEEKLY October 17

We hope you've had a good week, FAC Family! Here are just some of the great things happening in the coming weeks.

Check out "What's Happening" for a full list of events taking place this quarter.

What's happening

Worship This Sunday

GRACE UPON GRACE: Ephesians | The Armor of God | Ephesians 6:10–24

Life is a spiritual battle, and this passage from Ephesians offers our marching orders. We are to stand firm in the strength of the Lord and put on the full armor He has given us. We aren't fighting on our own; we are fully equipped for victory through Christ and empowered by prayer for one another.

Pastor Appreciation Month

October is Pastor Appreciation Month, when we have the opportunity to express our love and appreciation for Pastor Ben, Pastor Scott, Pastor Chen, and Pastor Zay, who shepherd our FAC family in worship and praise and proclaim the Word weekly. Please take the opportunity to write a personal note of appreciation to our pastors for their role in your spiritual journey. Your note can be given to the pastor or left at the Hub, and we'll make sure they receive it.

Operation Christmas Child

Beginning Sunday, October 26, Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes will be available for pickup! If you would like to pack a shoebox or have questions about Operation Christmas Child, please stop by the table in the church lobby to learn more.

National Collection Week is November 17 thru November 24. If you would like to volunteer during that week, we would be very blessed and happy to have you join us. Signup sheets will be available at the table as well.

Thank you for considering blessing a child with a tangible expression of God's love through a simple shoebox this Christmas.

2025 Annual Congregational Meeting & Worship Service

Date: Sunday, October 26
Time: 10am

You are invited to join us on Sunday, October 26, for one combined worship service at 10am as we celebrate God’s faithfulness and what He has done and continues to do here at FAC! We have the privilege of hearing from District Superintendent, Rev. David Nagel, of the Western PA District of the Christian & Missionary Alliance that morning. A cake and punch reception will follow in the gym at the conclusion of the service.

Official FAC members will have the privilege of voting for elders and church officers and are invited to stop by the table in the lobby to cast their ballot. An early ballot will be treated as an absentee ballot, which must be received no later than the close of business on Wednesday, October 22. Members who have not already voted may pick up their ballot at the designated table in the lobby on the day of the Annual Meeting. Absentee ballots arriving late will not be counted.

*Please note that no groups, classes, or other ministries will meet this morning. Children of all ages are always welcome into the worship service. We also have a Family Room available, where the service is live streamed, for any families who may feel more comfortable worshiping with their young children in that environment.

Prayer for International Workers, Jim & LuAnn Eaton/Spain

Jim and LuAnn Eaton are international workers supported by FAC, serving in Alicante, Spain. Pray for God’s guidance and favor as they share the gospel with English speakers in their community. Pray also for provision of another apartment to continue their ministry of hospitality.

You can learn more about the Eatons by picking up a copy of our “Prayer Guide for World Missions” at the Missions Table, near the entrance of the Worship Center.

You can partner with Jim and LuAnn in ministry by giving to the Great Commissions Fund.

Do You Have a Prayer Request or Praise?

The staff and elders at FAC would love to pray for you. Send your request or praise to Pastor Scott through the form below.
