FAC Weekly | October 30
We hope you've had a good week, FAC Family!
Watch the video below for a quick look at some of the great things coming up at FAC!
What’s Happening
For a full list of events taking place this month, check out our “What's Happening” info sheet, which you can also find posted throughout our building.
Worship This Sunday
Beyond Our Walls | Week 2: I Can’t Do That! | Numbers 13 & Joshua 1
It has been said: “Courage is doing what you're afraid to do. There can be no courage unless you're scared."
This Sunday we will be looking at people who witnessed incredible opportunity, and instead of choosing courage, they chose fear.
Daylight Saving Time Ends
Don’t forget to “fall back” Saturday night! Turn your clocks back one hour before going to bed and enjoy that extra hour of sleep.
Encounter: Prayer & Worship Night
Date: Wednesday, November 4
Time: 7pm
Place: in the Worship Center
Encounter is a night set aside to slow down, seek the Lord, and pray together. These nights invite us to lift our eyes to Jesus, unite our hearts in prayer & worship, and encounter God together in a meaningful and expectant way. We gather to pray for one another, our church, our ministries, and our community while listening for God’s leading.
We believe that God shows up in powerful ways where He’s wanted—and we want God present and moving at FAC. Don’t miss this opportunity as we seek God in prayer & worship.
FAC Kids Praise & Prayer Night
Date: Wednesday, November 4
Time: 7pm
Place: in the Worship Center
Once a month, we’re getting our praise on and putting our prayer into action! 🙌
On the first Wednesday of each month from 7–8pm, September through May, join us for FAC Kids Praise & Prayer Nights. These nights happen alongside our churchwide Encounter: Prayer and Worship Nights, so the whole church gets to worship and pray together!
Kids will start the evening worshiping with their families in the main sanctuary. Then, it’s time to split into small groups with our FAC Kids leaders and get hands-on! Through fun activity stations, kids will learn what it means to praise God and pray to Him in ways they can understand—and actually practice.
Come ready to sing, pray, learn, and have some fun! 🎉
Donations for Meeting God in Missions
Meeting God in Missions (MGM) is a nondenominational Christian nonprofit organization that organizes short-term missions trips to the Dominican Republic. Since 1998, MGM has facilitated these trips with the goal of encouraging participants to grow closer to God while serving the needs of the poor in the Dominican Republic. Over the years, many from the FAC family have participated in this important and life-changing ministry, and that continues today!
As a church family, we have an opportunity to come alongside this ministry and help meet practical needs in the Dominican Republic. We are collecting new or gently used shoes, new socks, eyeglasses and reading glasses, and new or gently used sports equipment. A donation barrel is available in the church lobby.
Their greatest need right now is NEW SOCKS! New socks of all sizes are needed for men, women, children, and youth.
As we look for ways to live out our mission beyond our walls, thank you for helping us share Christ’s love by meeting the needs of others!

Movie Selection: What If...
5 years ago, Ben Walker left his girlfriend and his ministry calling for a business opportunity. Now, with a high-paying career and a trophy fiancé, he is visited by an angel who gives him a glimpse into what his life would look like had he followed his calling.
Sign up at the table in the lobby or click on the button below.
Pack a Shoebox for Operation Christmas Child
Help share the love of Jesus with children around the world through Operation Christmas Child! Pick up a shoebox at the table in the church lobby, or build one online through our FAC goal page at facerie.org/occ/online. You can also visit facerie.org/occ to learn more about the ministry, find National Collection Week hours (November 16–23), and explore volunteer opportunities.
Every shoebox is an opportunity to share the hope of the Gospel and take the love of Jesus beyond our walls!
Prayer for the Persecuted Church
For over 1,600 years, Christians have set aside early November to remember believers who suffered for their faith. This reminds us that when one part of the body suffers, we all suffer together (1 Corinthians 12:26). That tradition continues today as the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP). Congregations worldwide unite in prayer for our brothers and sisters facing persecution.
You can find resources to help you pray effectively through Open Doors, a ministry dedicated to strengthening and equipping Christians around the world who are facing persecution and discrimination because of their faith in Jesus Christ.
Do You Have a Prayer Request or Praise?
“Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere” (Ephesians 6:18, NLT).
The staff and elders at FAC would love to pray for you. Send your request or praise to Pastor Scott through the form below.
