Check out "What's Happening" for a full list of events taking place this quarter.
Worship This Sunday
A View to the Cross, Part 1: Pivotal Moments | Matthew 16:13-20
Can you believe that Easter is only 3 weeks away? In the days leading up to what we call Easter Sunday, it is said that Jesus set his face towards Jerusalem (Luke 9:51). Over the next few weeks, what would happen if we turned our attention to the teachings of Jesus as He made His way to the cross, the tomb, and the resurrection?
Join us this Sunday as we begin our new series, A View to the Cross, with a message on one of the most pivotal moments in history.
Helping our Community
HOPE Ministry has helped open the door to the nations in our city. Some of the families we serve through HOPE/ESL have recently lost their food benefits. We have the honor of helping those in need, as Jesus called his followers in Matthew 25, that when we help those in need it is as if we are doing it for Him.
If you would like to help, you can pick up a shopping list (it will cost approximately $25–$30) and a shopping bag to put the items in at the table in the lobby. Return the filled shopping bag the next time you come to FAC and our HOPE team will distribute the food bags to those they have identified as having a need.
This food collection will take place through March 15.
Intro to FAC and Membership Classes
Date: Sundays, March 15–April 19 (excluding Easter Sunday, April 5)
Time: 11am–12pm
Place: in Room B106
Are you new or newer to First Alliance Church and want to learn more about us? Or maybe you've been attending for months or even years and have decided you'd like to become a member? Perhaps you're somewhere in between? It doesn't matter which category you fall under—this class is for you!
Intro to FAC is a five-week course on all things FAC. Learn about who we are, what we believe, how to get involved, and the importance of becoming a member of the local church. This is also a great opportunity to meet others and build relationships! (Completing the Intro to FAC course is a prerequisite to membership, but pursuing membership upon completion of the course is not mandatory.) There is no cost to attend.
The Spring 2026 session of Intro to FAC will be offered on Sundays, March 15–April 19 (excluding Easter Sunday, April 5) from 11am–12pm in B106. There's still time to register using the link below! Contact Kim Palmer in the church office at kpalmer@facerie.org or 814-833-9862 with any questions.
Good Friday Service

Time: 7:00pm
Place: in the Worship Center
Join us on Good Friday as we gather to remember the sacrifice and love of Jesus Christ. This meaningful service will be a time of reflection, worship, prayer, Scripture and Communion as we honor the significance of the cross and prepare our hearts for Easter. Invite your family and friends to join you.
Please Note: Childcare will not be available for this service; however, children are welcome and encouraged to join us. Additionally, the balcony will be closed for the evening.
Easter Sunday
Date: Sunday, April 5
Time: 10:30am
Place: in the Worship Center
Join us on Easter Sunday as we celebrate the hope, joy, and new life found in the resurrection of Jesus! Invite your friends and family as we come together for ONE combined service at 10:30am. Everyone is welcome. Come celebrate the risen Savior with us!
Please note: No children's or adult classes will meet, including nursery/childcare, allowing everyone to attend and enjoy the service together.
Men's Bible Study
Date: Saturdays, beginning March 21
Time: 9am
Place: in the Fireside Room (E215)
We are excited for the next men's Bible Study, Jesus Said—Remembering and Following the Red-Letter Words of Jesus.
Jesus is the foundation of the Christian faith, but far too often we ignore his teachings and excuse his commands. After centuries of crafting our own traditions and creating our own customs, it’s time for us to return to the red-letter words of Jesus. It’s a filter to following Jesus, and a reality check to what we’ve believed along the way.
There is no cost to attend and no need to sign up; just show up! Contact Wes Palmer (wbpalmer8@gmail.com) for more information.
Believer's Baptism
Date: Sunday, April 12
Time: 9:30 & 11am
Place: in the Worship Center
If you've made the decision to follow Christ but have never been baptized, what's holding you back? At FAC, we celebrate these things together as a family, and we're planning a baptism service for Sunday, April 12, during both morning services. Baptism classes are a prerequisite for this.
If you're interested, you can register below, online at facerie.org, or contact Pastor Scott at sshuffield@facerie.org.
VBS 2026 Volunteers!
Volunteer for The Great Jungle Journey VBS and help create an unforgettable adventure for kids! Your time and talents will make a lasting impact as we share the love and truth of Jesus. We also need many hands—before and during VBS—to prepare decorations and bring this exciting week to life.
VBS will run Monday, June 22–Friday, June 26, from 6–8:30pm each evening at FAC.
Register to volunteer at the facKIDS table in the lobby or by clicking the button below. Questions? Contact Meghan Lawson at mlawson@facerie.org or Abbie Ream at aream@facerie.org.
Prayer for International Workers David & Brenda Aderholdt, Macedonia
David and Brenda Aderholdt are international workers supported by FAC. They serve the Macedonian community. Bilijana, who is on the ANA Leadership Team with me (Brenda), shared that God has placed the desire on her heart to open an ANA Center in Bitola. I’m so excited about this new step. We pray that God will use it in a powerful way and it will be a model for other regions in Macedonia.
You can learn more about David and Brenda by picking up a copy of our “Prayer Guide for World Missions” at the Missions Table near the entrance of the Worship Center and you can partner with David and Brenda in ministry by giving to the FAC Missions Fund.
Do You Have a Prayer Request or Praise?
"Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere" (Ephesians 6:18, NLT).
The staff and elders at FAC would love to pray for you. Send your request or praise to Pastor Scott through the form below.
